Culver’s of Skokie Celebrates Chain’s 40th Birthday With Day of Giving on July 18
Percentage of day’s sales will benefit The Education Foundation (Supporting the Students of Niles Township)
Skokie, Illinois – 07/11/2024 – Culver’s is officially turning 40 years old on July 18—and to celebrate, the Culver’s of Skokie is hosting a day of giving to benefit a deserving organization in the community. That day, 10% of total sales at Culver’s of Skokie will benefit The Education Foundation.
“We wouldn’t be where we are without the Skokie community, so we wanted to celebrate Culver’s birthday by giving back to a worthy cause right in our backyard,” said Culver’s of Skokie owner-operator Michael Smith. “We’re excited for our guests to join us on July 18 to enjoy their favorite Culver’s menu items and help us give back to their neighbors at The Education Foundation in the process. To help celebrate, every guest who spends over $40 on July 18 will receive a Culver’s swag bag. We will have a prize wheel guests can spin for Culver’s Merchandise and food, as well as chances to enter drawings for Culver’s swag and food! Guests are invited to enjoy face painting and balloon twisting from 2pm to 4pm”
Culver’s was originally started in Sauk City, Wisconsin, in 1984 by co-founders Craig and Lea Culver, along with Craig’s parents, George and Ruth. Four decades later, the national restaurant chain has nearly 1,000 locations across 26 states.
For nearly two decades, The Education Foundation has supported students through academic-related grants, student scholarships, and programs not funded by public tax revenues.
In 2016, the organization changed its name to The Education Foundation (Supporting the Students of Niles Township) to reflect its desire to assist high school and sender school students in the township.
The Education Foundation is an independent 501(c)3 nonprofit organization that relies on the generosity of parents, students, alums, business partners, teachers, support staff, administrators, and community members for support.
The charitable effort is one of Culver’s three systemwide promotions taking place this month. Other highlights of the monthlong birthday celebration include the brand-new, limited-time-only Berry Happy Birthday Concrete Mixer and the 40 Years of Delicious sweepstakes, which includes daily prizes and a $40,000 cash grand prize.
