Two $1000 scholarships, one for education and one for entrepreneurship.

SCHOLARSHIP FOR ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Eligibility: All students residing in Lincolnwood or who are immediate family members of a Lincolnwood Chamber member in good standing are eligible to apply. Open to young entrepreneurs who are actively working on a business and seeking to further their entrepreneurial endeavors.

Scholarship: The Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce & Industry will award the Scholarship. One scholarship of $1000, will be awarded.

Criteria:

  • Essay of 500 to 700 words on the assigned topic. (SEE BELOW)

  • One letter from an adult reference; it may be from someone in the school and/or community and should not be related to the applicant.

Topic for the 2025 Scholarship Application Process
Entrepreneurial Vision: How Will This Scholarship Help You Grow Your Business and Make an Impact? In your essay, describe your current business, including its mission, goals, and any challenges you have faced. Explain how receiving this scholarship will help you take your business to the next level and contribute to your personal growth as an entrepreneur. Additionally, discuss how your business positively impacts the community or industry you serve and your long-term vision for its success. Essays should be detailed, well-structured, and showcase your passion for entrepreneurship.

Deadline: All completed applications and materials must be sent to the Lincolnwood Chamber of Commerce by April 1, 2025.

Selection: The Scholarship Committee will review only complete application packages. The appointed members of the committee will select winning recipients based on all criteria mentioned above. 

Notification of winner will be made no later than April 15, 2025 and Payment  Notification will be made no later than May 1, 2025, to the scholarship recipients and high school guidance counselor. Payment is made upon receipt of the class schedule for continuing education courses within one year of the application date.
